D’Abernon Cup Final 2026
The 2026 D’Abernon Cup Final took place on Sunday 6 September on the iconic Aorangi Courts at the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), Wimbledon. Blessed with beautiful weather and playing on pristine grass courts, the stage was set for a memorable day of tennis.
The marquee 3-pair Men’s Doubles event featured a high-calibre clash between the Old Reedonians and the Old Etonians, who were making their first appearance in the final since 1985.

A select group of spectators turned out to support both sides, creating a wonderful atmosphere to match the remarkably high standard of play on display. It was particularly encouraging to see such talented, young teams competing at this level.
The Old Reedonians ultimately secured the title with a 7-2 victory, but the final scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. The match was packed with tight contests, including three deciding 10-point tiebreakers; all of which were edged by Reed's. Had those pivotal tiebreaks gone the other way, the overall result would have been far closer.

While the Old Etonians unfortunately suffered the same runner-up fate as their 1985 predecessors, both teams put on a terrific performance.
