D’Abernon Cup Final Qualifying 2026

The D'Abernon Cup knockout day was played at Eton College on a sunny, warm day on 25 July. Seven teams made the running in two quick fire boxes, with the top two teams from each box progressing to play a semi-final knock out to decide the two finalists.

The results were as follows:

Box 1 was Reeds, Repton, Eton and Westminster. Westminster only had 1 pair so forfeited all the 2nd pair games. Results were:

Reeds beat Repton 2-0
Eton beat Westminster 2-0
Eton vs Reeds 1-1
Repton vs Westminster 1-1
Reeds beat Westminster 2-0
Repton vs Eton 1-1

Reeds and Eton narrowly progressed through leaving Repton and Westminster as runners up in box A.

Box 2 was Wellington, Sherborne and KCS (Lancing didn't field a team). Results were:

KCS beat Sherborne 2-0
Wellington beat Sherborne 2-0
KCS and Wellington 1-1

KCS and Wellington progressed through leaving Sherborne runners up in box B.

Semi Finals were therefore KCS vs Eton and Wellington vs Reeds.

Both semi-finals (Reeds vs Wellington and Eton vs KCS) split rubbers 1-1, with Reeds and KCS progressing through to the final on games.

This year produced a notably strong field, some excellent tennis and a very close contest. Well done and thank you to all the teams that competed, and best of luck to Reeds and KCS for the finals.
