Annual Dinner 2025

The IPSOBLTA Annual Dinner took place on Thursday, 24 April 2025, following the Association’s AGM, at The Courtside, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon. The event was attended by 76 members and guests.

This year’s guest speaker was Conor Niland, former Irish tennis professional and Davis Cup player. Conor shared reflections from his time on the international circuit, drawing from his recently published book, The Racket, which explores the highs and lows of life on tour. His stories offered a candid and compelling look into the world of elite tennis.

The Q&A session afterwards, hosted by committee member Johnny Barr, centred around themes from the book and gave attendees the opportunity to ask questions and explore Conor’s experiences in greater depth. The discussion was lively and engaging, with thoughtful contributions from the floor.

Many attendees had purchased copies of Conor’s book beforehand and were delighted that he was able to sign them after the talk.

The evening concluded around 23:00, following a superb dinner and excellent hospitality.
